Manipulating a photograph or creating an image, I digitally push it through the boundaries of what it is and represents. This is exciting for me. Taking it on an adventure through possibilities. Transmuting it into another life form. This is abstraction.

I don’t use AI to generate images. I create the works from scratch, where every nuance of the image is considered, deliberate and with intent. I do use a selection of creative apps as tools for creation, much the same way I would use brushes, pencils, pens and physical drawing tools. finger tip on touch screen is my preference.
